FIELD: protective conductive coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for applying a protective conductive coating of a gallium alloy to the contact surface of an electrical contact connection and can be used in stationary industrial cycles in the production of contact systems of electrical equipment and in technological regulations for the installation, repair and operation of contact systems directly at the installation site of electrical equipment. The contact surface is cleaned from contaminants, degreased, the contact surface is treated to remove the oxide film, and the base layer of the gallium alloy is applied. After removal of the oxide film, the contact surface is pre-treated by applying a layer of gallium alloy by means of an abrasive material at a gallium alloy consumption of not more than 10% by weight of the gallium alloy to apply a protective conductive gallium coating on the contact surface. The subsequent deposition of the main layer of the gallium alloy is carried out with the diffusion of the gallium alloy into the contact surface.
EFFECT: control and adjustment of the diffusion process of local-contact melting, as well as limiting the phenomenon of embrittlement of the surface layer of the solid metal and protecting the contact surface from environmental influences and the occurrence of oxidative processes for a long time.
