FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed to determine the intergranular effective porosity of rocks. The essence of the invention consists in obtaining a three-dimensional tomographic image of the core using the X-ray tomography method, reconstructing the volumetric model of the sample with filtration by averaging voxels, processing the resulting volumetric pore model by binarization using thresholding, in which the boundary between the rock and the pores is drawn according to the histogram of the X-ray density distribution and in such a way that it is located close to the minimum between the two modes characterizing the pore and the rock; a model of the entire sample volume for the entire range of the sample histogram is created by binarization using thresholding; the resulting pore model and the model of the entire sample volume are limited inside the figures of the same size and both limited volumes are measured, after which the porosity coefficient of the sample is calculated.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of simplifying the study of the characteristics of a rock core sample.
