FIELD: electronic technology.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for gesture control and the device for its implementation refers to the technique of non-contact interaction with technical systems and devices. A significant peculiarity of this method for gesture control is the use of a touch plane formed above the user’s hand and representing a stream of structured radiation, the intersection of which and the movement of fingers in it are captured by two microcontrollers connected to a system of two television cameras. A set of two groups is proposed: dynamic and static gestures performed with fingers. In this case, the device for implementing the proposed method is fixed on the wrist of one of the hands, and the dynamic control gestures are carried out, for example, with the finger of the free hand, forming a gesture by crossing the touch plane and then moving the finger along a certain trajectory that determines the gesture identifier. And static gestures are performed by crossing the touch plane with a group of fingers, the relative position of which determines a specific gesture.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at expanding the arsenal of technical means, in particular working with small-sized objects, such as fingers, as well as increasing noise immunity.
