METHOD FOR SHORT-RANGE AVIATION NAVIGATION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G08G5/02 G01S1/16 B64C13/18

Abstract RU 2778179 C1

FIELD: aviation navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for short-range aviation navigation. To navigate the aircraft, a radio navigation field is formed by at least three radio navigation points located on the earth's surface in the vicinity of the airfield in a certain way. By emitting the radio signal of the interrogator and receiving the retransmitted signal by the terrestrial repeater, the delay and frequency shift of the retransmitted signal are measured together. These measurements determine the slant range and radial speed of flight to the transponder. In this case, the radio signal of the interrogator is encoded with a ranging code, and the coordinates and the velocity vector are determined taking into account the obtained slant range and radial velocity. The data obtained is used to control the aircraft.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of aircraft guidance and safety of approach and landing maneuvers.
