FIELD: topography.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of topography and can be used in the development of geodetic networks, for example, in order to register displacements of points on the Earth’s surface and during cadastral work. In the manufacture of a geodesic sign rod, structural transverse incisions are made on it, by one of which, under mechanical influences, the upper part of the rod with the geodesic mark breaks off, and the position of the part of the rod buried in the ground does not change. When restoring a geodesic sign, the preserved part of the rod is cleaned of dirt and an adapter equipped with a geodesic mark is placed on it. After reaching contact between the mounting plane of the incision made on the rod and the mounting plane of the adapter, the latter is fixed on the rod of the geodetic sign mechanically or by welding. By calculation, the location of the geodetic mark of the restored sign is determined in the coordinate system of the geodetic network before damage to this sign, which makes it possible to restore the geodetic network without replacing the geodetic sign. With repeated geodetic surveys, it becomes possible to obtain data on the displacement of the geodetic sign under the influence of geodynamic processes.
EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of using restored geodetic signs without replacing them with new ones.
