FIELD: spacecraft motion control.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of motion control of spacecraft using a jet propulsion system (PS). To control the movement of the center of mass of the spacecraft, the orbit of the spacecraft is corrected by applying the thrust vector of the PS to its body in the clock operation mode. The spacecraft is additionally equipped with an accelerometer. At each cycle, in the intervals between the operation of the engines, the drift of the accelerometer zero signal is measured. It is taken into account when assessing the current speed increment, and a correction factor is calculated for the turn-on time of the engines in the next cycle in order to ensure a constant average acceleration over the entire maneuvering section.
EFFECT: invention improves the accuracy and reliability of the spacecraft maneuvers, as well as increases the resource of the PS.
