FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of disposal of industrial waste, namely, to a method and a unit for producing methanol from waste water. The proposed method includes the stages of preheating a water-methanol solution, evaporating methanol vapours therefrom, producing methanol in a distillation column, and incinerating the contaminated methanol production residues in a submerged combustion apparatus. An additional stream of waste water is therein fed into the submerged combustion apparatus, subjected to heat treatment, followed by directing the released vapour-gas mixture to a heat exchanger, supplying part of the vapour-gas mixture into a mixer, mixing in the mixer with the water-methanol solution of the main stream, and subjecting the resulting mixture to evaporation in a vacuum evaporator. The resulting water-methanol vapours are supplied to the distillation column, distillation is performed, followed by condensing the resulting product; wherein the generated methanol is supplied to the methanol unloading line, and the remaining gas component with impurities, the liquid formed in the evaporator, and the still bottoms of the distillation column are directed for incineration in the submerged combustion apparatus. After the incineration thereof, the suspension deposited at the bottom of the submerged combustion apparatus is removed therefrom, settled, and the liquid phase is redirected to the submerged combustion apparatus.
EFFECT: increase in the effectiveness of producing methanol from methanol-containing waste water, increase in the reliability of operation of the entire unit as a whole.
