REDUNDANT DAMPENED SENSOR UNIT OF A SMALL-SIZED STRAPDOWN INERTIAL NAVIGATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01C21/00

Abstract RU 2778428 C1

FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of instrumentation and is intended for measuring linear accelerations and angular velocities in a small-sized strapdown inertial navigation system (BINS) working in conditions of strong vibration, a highly dynamic unmanned aerial vehicle with high reliability. Redundant dampened sensor unit of a small-sized BINS comprises a body made in the form of two truncated regular quadrilateral pyramids connected at the bases, a connector, and elements of electrical wiring. The body is therein installed on four shock absorbers and comprises four accelerometers installed on the first truncated pyramid so that the sensitive axes thereof are perpendicular to the sides of the pyramid and intersect at one point; two dynamically adjustable gyroscopes installed on opposite sides of the second truncated pyramid so that the sensitive axes thereof are symmetrical relative to the height of the pyramid, and the point of intersection of the axes of each dynamically adjustable gyroscope is located on the apothem of the side.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy, reliability, and mechanical stability of the claimed sensor unit of a small-sized BINS.
