FIELD: rocket engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket and artillery weaponry and is intended for use on vertical launch launching units of cruise missile systems of navy surface ships. Proposed is a launching unit for vertical launch cruise missile systems of surface ships, characterised by being configured to move within the hull of the ship and having an apparatus for stabilising in the vertical direction. The apparatus operates as follows: in various levels of sea waves, the ship tilts (roll is considered in this case) so that the system for stabilising the launching unit located in the missile room (trunk) allows the missile not to change the position oriented perpendicular to the plane of the natural horizon, thereby enabling the combat application of cruise missiles regardless of the sea waves.
EFFECT: creation of a ship-based vertical launch launching unit expanding the capabilities of combat application of missile weapon systems of ships regardless of the sea waves causing the roll and the corresponding tilt of the ship.
