FIELD: chemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the chemical industry. Set for producing hydrogen peroxide through the anthraquinone process comprises a unit (2) for hydrogenation of the working solution (1), a unit (4) for oxidation of the hydrogenated working solution, a unit (7) for extraction of hydrogen peroxide, a distillation unit and a purification unit. The working solution (1) contains alkyl anthraquinone and/or alkyl tetrahydroanthraquinone and at least one non-water-miscible solvent. Hydrogenation is conducted in unit (2) by means of a molecular hydrogen-containing gas (3) in the presence of a catalyst. Oxidation in unit (4) is conducted by means of a molecular hydrogen-containing gas (5). The resulting hydrogen peroxide is extracted in unit (7) by an aqueous extractant (8), and a diluted aqueous solution (9) is produced, containing 25 to 50% wt. hydrogen peroxide. The distillation unit comprises a hydrogen peroxide evaporator (11), a distillation column (10) receiving vapour (13) from the evaporator (11) with a falling film, and a vapour compressor (17) constituting a vapour ejector receiving vapour (16) off the top of the distillation column (10) and supplying compressed vapour (18) as a heat carrier to the evaporator (11). The distillation unit also comprises a separation container (12) divided horizontally into sections by a knockout drum and connected with the evaporator (11) under the knockout drum and with the distillation column (10) by means of a pipeline above the knockout drum. Liquid from the bottom of the separation container (12) is recycled into the evaporator (11). A concentrated aqueous solution (14) containing 45 to 90% wt. hydrogen peroxide and a water condensate (19) is produced in the distillation unit. The purification unit wherein the water condensate (19) is received and the purified condensate (26) is produced, comprises a first and a second filters (22), (24) and a layer (23) of cation exchange resin in the protonated form, being replaced with fresh resin when the concentration of iron, nickel, or chromium in the purified condensate is increased to a value over 0.02 mg/l. The purified condensate (26) is supplied into unit (7) as an aqueous extractant (8) and/or into the distillation column (10) as the return flow of the column and/or as a diluent. The set additionally comprises a buffer container (25) for receiving the purified condensate (26), connected with unit (7), and a heat exchanger (20) for transferring heat from the water condensate (19) to the diluted aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution (9).
EFFECT: stability of the produced hydrogen peroxide during storage is endured, decomposition thereof is prevented.
