FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed are absorbent articles with curved elastic layered materials, as well as apparatus and methods for creating said articles. In one variant of implementation, the method for creating the article may include moving absorbent assemblies and elastic layered materials in the machine direction. The method may additionally include subjecting elastic layered materials to oscillation in a cross-machine direction to impart curvature, binding the elastic layered materials to the absorbent assemblies while maintaining the imparted curvature so that at least part of the elastic layered materials is located outside of the longitudinal lateral edges of the absorbent assemblies, and, finally, separating the absorbent assemblies into separate absorbent articles; wherein the elastic layered materials pass with curvature over the entire area of the absorbent articles.
EFFECT: creation of a functional absorbent article.
