FIELD: disinfection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of disinfection using UV emission, namely, to open-type bactericidal irradiators. Bactericidal irradiator comprises a body equipped with cartridges, wherein secured in said cartridges are bactericidal mercury-vapour lamps connected to the start-control apparatuses of the power supply and control unit; wherein the body is made of interconnected bases forming a polyhedral hollow tubular body - a tubular profile with an internal through channel, wherein positioned vertically on each face base are bactericidal mercury-vapour lamps secured in cartridges, and located in the through polyhedral channel whereof is an axial fan, wherein the body is installed vertically on supports.
EFFECT: invention increases the efficiency of bactericidal disinfection of air and surfaces in various, primarily medical, facilities, in the absence of people.
