FIELD: protective materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of creating temperature-resistant materials and coatings that are used in various fields of industry such as metallurgy, nuclear power, space and aviation technology, mechanical engineering and radio electronics. An additive of nanoscale aluminum oxide particles is introduced into the composition of the charge at the following ratio of components, wt. %: Si 55-65, ZrB2 12-18, B4C 8-17, Al2O3 12-17, then slurry is prepared based on charge with an organic binder in the form of a 2% aqueous solution of carboxymethylcellulose. Materials or coatings based on such charge obtained after heat treatment are gradient compositions consisting of non-oxidized initial particles and a surface oxide layer.

EFFECT: as a result of the introduction of nanoscale aluminum oxide particles into the charge, the materials have improved elastic modulus and bending strength characteristics.
