FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and can be used in feeding poultry, in particular broiler chickens. The feed additive for broiler chickens includes a mixture of chemically pure gamma-octalactone with coumarin, the antibiotic “Biovit” and an electrochemically activated (ECHA) aqueous solution of catholyte with a redox potential Eh =-600 mV and a hydrogen pH of 9. The aqueous solution of the catholyte is stabilized with an amino acid in the form of glycine in an amount of at least 0.01 wt. %. The antibiotic “Biovit” is used in a dosage of 0.63 g per kg of live weight. Gamma-octalactone with coumarin is used at a dosage of 9.0 micrograms per kg of live weight per day. An aqueous solution of catholyte is used in a dosage of 1 ml.

EFFECT: use of the invention will increase the antioxidant status and productivity of broiler chickens against the background of changes in the structure of the diet, as well as reduce feed costs for an increase of 1 kg of live weight.
