FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical sights, in particular to a ballistic correction device for aiming devices (weapon) equipped with a vertical correction handwheel. In particular, the device contains a detection means located outside of the vertical correction handwheel and intended for determination of angular movement given by a shooter to a correction ring of the vertical correction handwheel, and a display means for displaying a shooting distance and/or other shooting parameters corresponding to an angular position, in which the ring is located. The device displays for the shooter the setting of the handwheel from the moment the shooter turned on the device. The shooter does not need to remember the last performed setting. There is no need to refer to compensation tables at a stage of performing a new setting, it is possible to just read values displayed on the device, when rotating the ring of the vertical correction handwheel. In addition, the invention relates to a method for correction of a weapon aiming angle.
