SUBSTANCE: method refers to the field of weapons and military equipment, in particular to ways to improve the effectiveness of firearms. When targeting, the distance to the target is determined, the weapon is aimed at the target, and the target is displayed in the sighting device. At the same time, the distance to the target and the type of the "weapon-cartridge" system determine the size of the dispersion ellipse and its position relative to the aiming point with the subsequent display of the scattering ellipse in the sighting device.
EFFECT: provides an increase in the effectiveness of shooting.
