FIELD: protective technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protection of documents and goods from forgery, namely, the creation of a protective feature based on the spectroscopic properties of crystalline nanoparticles of oxides doped with rare earth ions, including a method for applying a protective feature that ensures its application during a standard laser engraving operation of a polymer or metal. The task of increasing the level of security of a valuable document or product is solved by using a chemically and thermally resistant pigment from the class of simple and complex oxides simultaneously activated by at least three types of rare earth ions.
EFFECT: luminescence of all three ions independently of each other, and the excitation of luminescence due to the transfer of excitation energy from one type of active center to the others.
