FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method (100) for the production of liquefied natural gas, using a raw material mixture, which contains methane, one or more components boiling at a lower temperature than methane, and one or more hydrocarbons boiling at a higher temperature than methane. Hydrocarbons boiling at a higher temperature than methane have a freezing temperature above -50°C. The raw material mixture is subjected to adsorption (10) at variable pressure, in which the first methane-containing fraction and the second methane-containing fraction are formed. The first methane-containing fraction contains at least a prevailing part of components of the raw material mixture with a boiling temperature lower than methane and small number of hydrocarbons with a boiling temperature higher than methane, or does not contain such hydrocarbons at all. The second methane-containing fraction contains at least a prevailing part of hydrocarbons of the raw material mixture with a boiling temperature higher than methane and small number of components with a boiling temperature lower than methane, or does not contain such components at all. The first methane-containing fraction or its part is subjected to liquefaction (20).
EFFECT: provision of a possibility of liquefaction of natural gas with a high content of neopentane and/or benzene.
