FIELD: aviation technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation, in particular to the methods for operation of unmanned aerial vehicles and landing platform designs. The method for landing a multi-propeller VTOL UAV includes landing the UAV on the landing pad, installing the UAV screws in such a way that the UAV has a minimum overall size in projection on the landing pad, lowering the landing pad with the UAV into the body of the landing platform. The VTOL UAV contains a sensor for the angle of rotation of the airscrew, an engine shaft brake, which can be integrated into the engine. The landing platform contains a device for turning and holding the airscrews of the UAV.
EFFECT: reduction in the size and weight of the landing platform for receiving and storing VTOL UAVs is provided.
