FIELD: logging machines.
SUBSTANCE: logging machine contains unit (2) for felling, pruning boughs, and obtaining tree trunks, the first measurement device made in combination with the unit of the logging machine for measurement of at least one parameter of a tree trunk, the second measurement device for measurement of a characteristic of the first measurement device. The characteristic of the first measurement device is measured using the second measurement device, an actual value of the measured characteristic is compared with a target value of the specified characteristic, where the target value is an indicator of a state of the first measurement device, when its measurement of the specified parameter is correct. In response to a deviation of the actual value from the target value more than a set difference, test measurement of the specified parameter is carried out using the third measurement device, and the first measurement device is calibrated based on a deviation between the value of measurement of the specified parameter, measured using the first measurement device, and the value of measurement of the specified parameter, measured using the third measurement device, the first measurement device is calibrated based on a value of deviation between the measured actual value and the specified target value.
EFFECT: accuracy of measurements is increased.
