SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the diagnosis of current collectors of vehicles. The device for diagnosing current collectors of electric rolling stock contains a three-axis accelerometer and a three-axis gyroscope installed on the contact wire, a microcontroller, an autonomous power source, a transmitting unit and a receiving unit. The outputs of the accelerometer and gyroscope are connected to the input of the microcontroller, designed to measure and evaluate the accelerations and changes in the coordinates of the contact wire when the current collector of the electric rolling stock interacts with it and is connected to an autonomous power source and a transmission unit. The receiving unit is connected to the Ethernet network with subsequent delivery of information to the energy manager. At the same time, a rigid bus is fixed on the contact wire, the length of which is equal to the length of the span, in which a full zigzag of the contact wire is realized. In this case, said accelerometer and gyroscope are installed in the middle of said span.

EFFECT: improving the accuracy of diagnosing damaged pantographs of electric rolling stock.
