METHOD FOR ACOUSTIC RECORDING OF CURRENT COLLECTION FAULTS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC B60L3/12 B60L5/00 B60M1/12 G01H11/00

Abstract RU 2720701 C1

FIELD: electrical equipment; transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to current collectors for vehicles, and more specifically to quality control of interaction of contact wire and current collectors. Method for acoustic detection of current collection faults consists in recording sound waves from arc, spark or other discharge or thermal processes, including overload sparking occurring in current collection faults. Wavelengths are received in one or more ranges of mechanical oscillations, then necessary transformations and signal processing are performed with their further analysis. At the same time result of analysis is detection of type of breakage of current collection, its duration, spectral and energy characteristics of received signal, degree of action on contact wire, as well as possible cause of violation, including registration of glaze ice conditions or failure of current collector. Invention makes it possible to perform continuous control of quality of interaction of contact suspension and current collectors and, which is especially important for operation of overhead system, to detect causes of current collection fault and degree of their danger.

EFFECT: technical result of invention consists in expansion of diagnostics capabilities of current collection faults.
