SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used to reduce the concentration of methane in the rumen of ruminants. A method for reducing the methane concentration in the rumen of ruminants includes the introduction of wormwood herb at a dosage of 10.0 g per 1 kg of dry matter of the diet, as well as rhizomes and roots of elecampane at a dosage of 6.0 g per 1 kg of dry matter of the diet.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the production of methane in the rumen of ruminants through the use of medicinal plants.
