SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to urology and therapy; it is intended for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (hereinafter – BPH). A method for improvement of symptoms in mammals suffering from BPH includes the administration of at least three different compositions, each of which contains one or several antibiotics. Moreover, the first composition contains a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, the second one – metronidazole, and the third one – an antibiotic selected from imipenem, gentamicin, and cephalothin. The third composition is administrated by an intramuscular injection.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides for effective treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
