FIELD: image processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and a method for selection of an image obtaining parameter for an image generation system. The method for selection of an image obtaining parameter for an image generation system, in which the image obtaining parameter at least partially sets an image generation configuration of the image generation system during a procedure of generation of images with a patient, includes: obtaining access to a depth-related map generated based on data of sensors of a system of cameras, while the system of cameras has a field of view, which includes at least part of a field of view of the image generation system, wherein data of sensors is received before the procedure of generation of images of the patient, and this data indicates a distance from outer parts of the patient to the system of cameras. A machine learning algorithm is applied to the depth-related map to identify the image obtaining parameter, which can be provided to the image generation system.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency and accuracy of selection of an image obtaining parameter for an image generation system.
