FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, to methods for producing fluorinated polyethers. Fluorinated polyethylene oxides created according to the method can be used as sealing agents, heat, frost, and chemically resistant lubricants and oils used in severe conditions, at significant temperature fluctuations and under effect of chemically aggressive substances. Method for producing a fluorinated polyethylene oxide by direct hydrogen substitution fluorination includes the stage of dispersing polyethylene oxide by ultrasound in perfluorodecalin until polyethylene oxide particles are created in dispersion with a characteristic size of 10-8–10-7 m. The resulting dispersion is then heated to a working temperature of 40–130°C and then fluorinated with a mixture of elemental fluorine and nitrogen, followed by evaporating.
EFFECT: creation of a production-suitable, fast, and environmentally sustainable method for producing polyethylene oxide (PEO) fluorinated on the entire volume, based on subjecting the initial hydrocarbon polymer to hydrogen substitution fluorination with elemental fluorine in a liquid medium.
