FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for determination of quality of aviation fuel and oil products. An indicator element for determination of the content of water and mechanical impurities in aviation fuel is disclosed, including two layers of a hydrophobic porous base with an ultrathin fiber structure, the first of which is impregnated with a solution of ferrous sulfate (III), the second one is impregnated with a solution of a mixture of potassium ferricyanide and potassium ferrocyanide, while both layers are impregnated with solutions with the same solvent containing distilled water, ethanol, and ethyl cellosolve, dried and fixed to each other. The structure of both layers of ultrathin fibers has porosity from 23 to 37%, concentration of ferrous sulfate (III) in the impregnation of the first layer is 10-15%, the ratio of potassium ferricyanide and potassium ferrocyanide in the impregnation of the second layer is 1:(45-55), and the solvent contains the following ratio of components, vol.%: distilled water 50-57; ethanol 40-47; ethyl cellosolve 3-10.
EFFECT: invention provides increase in the accuracy, expression, and reproducibility of the results of analysis of aviation fuel.
