FIELD: medicine, laboratory diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: it is necessary to supplement 1 ml fresh oral fluid with 1 ml distilled water, 2 drops 2N of KOH solution and 3 drops of 0.1%-methylene blue solution to mix the content by shaking and heat it at water bath up to 80°C. At keeping blue color of the indicator one should conclude upon the fact that glucose content in oral fluid corresponds to the standard and does not exceed 0.12%; at total absence of blue color of the indicator - upon excessive glucose content against the normal one. The innovation is simple and available. Application of this method enables to detect increased glucose content (>0.12%) in the sample of oral fluid of 1 ml volume in shortened terms.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of detection.
