Abstract RU 2781348 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely, to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used to treat chronic rhinosinusitis. Method includes systemic medication therapy with antibacterial therapy, and local medication therapy with irrigation therapy, administration of topical glucocorticoids, photodynamic therapy, and lactobacilli. The affected sinus is punctured and drained, determining the sensitivity thereof to antibacterial agents; the sinus is irrigated with a photosensitiser. The sinus membrane is irradiated with a laser through a scattering light guide inserted into the sinus through a guide, with the following parameters: wavelength 660 nm, power 500 MW, irradiation time 10 min. A solution of lactobacilli is then introduced into the sinus, followed by systemic antibacterial and, additionally, mucoactive, anti-inflammatory, and desensitising therapy, as well as local medication therapy with irrigation therapy, topical glucocorticoids, and topical decongestants.

EFFECT: possibility of raising the effectiveness of treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis due to the photodynamic therapy sterilising the mucosae of the nasal cavity and sinuses, increasing the effectiveness of systemic application of antibacterial therapy, including with high resistance of the body to various groups of antibiotics.
