FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to otolaryngology and can be used for estimating the effectiveness of therapy of exacerbation of chronic purulent rhinosinusitis. Method of evaluating effectiveness of therapy of chronic purulent rhinosinusitis is determining the ratio level of neuron specific enolase to its concentration in nasal secretion on the 4th day from the beginning of therapy. If this ratio is 50.00 and more than therapy may be called effective and does not require any correction.
EFFECT: usage of the aforementioned method allows to estimate effectiveness of the therapy, correct it in time and, as a result, reduce the length of hospitalization.
