FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely to propellers and blades for them, as well as to a method for installing propellers on marine vessels. Proposed marine vessel propeller, which is designed to convert engine torque into thrust during operation and is a composite propeller (BUP), made in the form of blades arranged in a circle. The propeller blade is a separate part containing a profiled part and a root part. The root part has a generally cylindrical inner surface, on which radially cylindrical recesses with a flat end wall are made, and fastening holes pass through the root part in the places where the recesses are made. Cylindrical insert has a hole running parallel to the longitudinal axis of the insert, and made with the possibility of installation in the recess with the possibility of attaching the propeller blades to the shaft with the help of mounting bolts. Mounting bolts pass through mounting holes and inserts.
EFFECT: improving the power transmission capability with a relatively small hub structure is achieved to improve hydrodynamic efficiency, as well as an improving the corrosion resistance of the propeller.
