SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of solid fuel from biomass. A device for the production of solid fuel from biomass is proposed, including: a carbonation furnace for carbonation of a formed biomass block to obtain a product of solid fuel from biomass; an output calculator for calculation of the output of the product of solid fuel from biomass, and/or a temperature sensor for measurement of a temperature of the carbonation furnace; and an adjuster for adjustment a heat source of the carbonation furnace; wherein the adjuster adjusts the heat source based on the relation between (i) a self-heating characteristic of the product of solid fuel from biomass, obtained after carbonation, and (ii) the output of the product of solid fuel from biomass, and/or the temperature of the carbonation furnace. A method for the production of solid fuel from biomass is also proposed.
EFFECT: production of solid fuel from biomass, which is not subjected to self-heating.
