FIELD: folding doors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a folding door, mainly in the side opening of the vehicle body. The vehicle door contains an outer whole part and an inner part, and a mechanism for folding door parts. The folding mechanism is made in the form of a system of levers. The inner part consists of links that rotate in a vertical plane relative to each other on hinges. The door assembly is fastened to the floor of the vehicle by the lower or second link from the bottom of the inner part of the door with the possibility of turning the door around a horizontal axis. The upper link of the inner part of the door is connected to the outer part of the door by means of a hinge. The fixed position of the door is carried out in at least three positions: closed in the vertical position of the door, open to the floor level in the horizontal position of the door and folded under the floor or in the ground clearance position of the door, by means of a folding mechanism that provides kinematic connection of the links of the inner part of the door to each other, with the outer part of the door and with the floor of the vehicle. In the closed position of the door, it is made with an excess of the height of the outer part of the door by approximately the thickness of the threshold above the sum of the heights of the links of the inner part of the door. In the position open to the floor level, the door is made with the possibility of kinematic opening of the inner and outer parts, when the outer part of the door is shifted or tilted relative to the floor, and the inner part is horizontally aligned. In the folded position of the door, the inner part is made with the possibility of folding around the threshold of the floor, covering it with itself.
EFFECT: possibility of lowering side windows into the cavity of the outer part of the door, structural rigidity in fixed positions, optimal distribution of loads from the door to the floor, compactness in the closed and folded positions, aesthetic appearance and ease of creating different types of bodies using sidewalls and doors of various external shapes and designs are provided, based on one platform floor of relatively large thickness.
