The frame with the tray is made with the possibility of lowering the tray under the ice and lifting it until it touches the bottom surface of the ice, followed by steam supply through the teeth and lifting the tray up as the ice melts. After the melting of the ice area with the formation of ice fragments, determined by the number of ribs, the frame with the pallet is lowered down through the ice fragments. The nuclear-powered icebreaker begins forward movement, crushing ice fragments that pass between the branches of the frame. After the icebreaker reaches the undisturbed area of ​​ice, the destruction cycle is repeated.

EFFECT: use of the proposed device increases the speed of the forward movement of the icebreaker, which also determines the increase in the speed of the ships following it.
