FIELD: engine building.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to engine building. The rotary piston engine consists of a housing (1) with one working cavity (I) of the engine - with a main rotor (2) of a triangular shape and an internal two-beam epitrochoid surface of the housing (1), as well as a housing (3), a main rotor movement mechanism, windows supply to the engine of a gaseous mixture and the release of exhaust gases from it and the ignition system. The engine contains two additional working cavities (II, III) of the engine in the body of the main rotor (2), namely in its internal volume recess with an internal working three-beam surface of a hypotrochoid shape. In the main rotor (2) of a triangular shape, in the center of its internal volume groove, there is an additional rotor (5) of a triangular shape. The implementation of an additional rotor (5), a shaped bushing, the location of the mixture supply and exhaust gas outlet windows, as well as at least three spark plugs are disclosed. A method for operating a rotary piston engine is also disclosed.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the specific power of a rotary piston engine.
