SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optics, in particular to methods and means for optical conversion of electromagnetic emission; it can be used in generation of an optical object image in miniature lens-free cameras. The claimed method for generation of a high resolution image in a lens-free camera by a shadow from emission on a detector matrix, formed as a result of emission passage through an encoding mask consisting of holes and jumpers, encoded by a random rule, consists in that the image from the object comes in the form of emission to a division prism and is divided into two images, while the first image is directed through the encoding mask, and the second image is directed through a reflecting prism to the second encoding mask inverse to the first encoding mask. Moreover, both images, using encoding masks, convert coming images into a diffraction pattern in the form of speckles. At the same time, the speckle from the second encoding mask, through the second reflecting prism, comes to the second division prism, to the second face of which speckles from the first encoding mask come, after which obtained speckles, using the second division prism, are summed and come to the detector matrix made in the form of matrices of devices with a charge connection. Next, both signals are digitalized using analogue-to-digital converters, come to processing in a computer.

EFFECT: increase in light efficiency and improvement of the quality of a restored image of an initial object.
