FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the field of transport engineering. The front structure of the electric vehicle includes a lower dashboard panel separating the passenger compartment and the front engine compartment, a seat transverse member attached at both ends to the side reinforcing structure and the nose of the tunnel, a front section attached to the lower dashboard panel, and a rear section attached to cross member of the seat. The product of the tensile strength and the average thickness of the back section is greater than or equal to the product of the tensile strength and the average thickness of the front section. The front section is made of a material having a deformation at failure of at least 0.6 and a critical bending angle of at least 75°. The method for manufacturing said front structure includes the steps of: providing a blank; punching blanks according to the shape of the nose of the tunnel; attaching the nose of the tunnel to the bottom panel of the dashboard; attaching the nose of the tunnel to the cross member of the seat.
EFFECT: impact energy absorption is achieved.
