Application of 5-phenyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol of the general formula
as a corrosion inhibitor of St3 steel in the concentration range of 50–200 mg/l in a 17% HCl solution when heated to 80°C.
EFFECT: heterocyclic compound that slows down the corrosion rate of mild steel St3 during acid treatment of wells and has a simple synthesis procedure.
