FIELD: inorganic chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic chemistry. The reaction mixture is prepared, for which oxidizing reagents are first mixed: 0.3-0.4 ml of nitric acid and 0.7-2 ml of hydrogen peroxide, after which iron (II) sulfate heptahydrate is added to the resulting solution with stirring. The reaction of the interaction of the components of the obtained reaction mixture to obtain sulfate-nitrate of iron (III) is carried out without heating.

EFFECT: emission of toxic nitrogen oxides is excluded; in the target product - iron (III) sulfate-nitrate - there are no residual iron (II) cations.
