METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE SENSITIVITY OF BACTERIA TO ANTISEPTICS IN SOLUTION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC C12N1/20 C12Q1/18

Abstract RU 2781985 C1

FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. A method for determining the sensitivity of bacteria to antiseptic agents in solution is proposed, including the preparation of a culture suspension of a microorganism isolated and identified from the patient’s clinical material or from the environment, with a dilution of 1.5×105; a test tube with 0.1 ml of microbial suspension is placed in a water bath-thermostat at 32°C, 0.9 ml of antiseptic agent is introduced into it, stirred and left in these conditions for the time specified by the manufacturer of the antiseptic preparation in the instructions, followed by the addition of 0.5 ml of neutralizer; then 0.1 ml of the resulting mixture is sown on a solid nutrient medium and the number of colonies is counted. According to the number of colonies or the absence of bacterial growth, it is concluded that the studied culture of the microorganism is resistant to the tested antiseptic.

EFFECT: invention provides an expansion of the arsenal of methods for determining the sensitivity of bacteria to antiseptic agents in solution, increasing the accuracy of determination by creating conditions that simulate the conditions of real use of a skin antiseptic.
