FIELD: biotechnology; microbiology; gynaecology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for assessing the preservation of viability of lactic acid bacteria under the effect of various concentrations of an antiseptic, characterized by that strains of Lactobacillus are introduced into a test tube with a liquid nutrient medium for preparing an inoculum with density of 0.5 according to the McFarland standard, further, an antiseptic is added in an amount required to create a final test concentration; test tubes are placed in a thermostat, incubated under aerobic conditions for 48 hours at 37 °C with subsequent subculture of contents of test tubes on agar for Lactobacillus and incubation in microaerophilic conditions for 72 hours at 37 °C with subsequent assessment of preservation of viability of Lactobacillus by presence of growth of single colonies of lactic acid bacteria on solid nutrient medium for each concentration of antiseptic.
EFFECT: invention provides preservation of maximum possible number of representatives of normal microflora of vagina in prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases in gynaecology.
