FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, in particular methods, devices, kits, and compositions for detection of the presence or absence of one or more coproantigens of tapeworms in a sample are disclosed. Methods, device, kits, and compositions, according to the invention, can be used for confirmation of the presence or absence of tapeworms in a sample of mammal faeces, as well as they allow for distinguishing of different types of tapeworms in the presence of one or more infections caused by helminths (such as roundworms, hookworms, trichocephals, and ascarids), Giardia, and parvovirus. The confirmation of the presence or absence of a tapeworm in a mammal can be performed, for example, in order to select an optimal course of treatment of a mammal and/or to confirm the destruction of an infection in a mammal after the treatment.
EFFECT: treatment of mammals from infections caused by helminths.
