FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of organic and medical chemistry. Proposed is a method for extracting disodium salt of 4-[bis[4-(diethylamino)](2,4-disulphophenyl)methylene]-N,N-diethyl-2,5-cyclohexadiene-1-iminium (lymphotropin), characterised by adding silica gel to the solution of the organic part of industrial dye "Disulphine Blue" in a polar solvent, obtained by dispersing the initial dye in methanol followed by filtration, as calculated for one part weight dye per three parts weight silica gel; evaporating the resulting suspension dry, and placing the resulting silica gel with the dye applied thereon in a column with the silica gel loaded as calculated for one part silica gel per one part above dye; then supplying the eluent in the form of an ethyl acetate/alcohol mixture, and monitoring the extracted disodium salt of 4-[bis[4-(diethylamino)](2,4-disulphophenyl)methylene]-N,N-diethyl-2,5-cyclohexadiene-1-iminium (lymphotropin) using thin-layer chromatography (TLC).
EFFECT: proposed method for purifying disulpho-derived diaminotriphenylmethane dye from impurities for the further use thereof as a contrast agent in the detection of local lymphogenic metastasis of malignant neoplasms in tumours of various localisation and visualisation of lymph nodes is easily implemented and easily scalable, wherein chromatographically pure disodium salt of 4-[bis[4-(diethylamino)](2,4-disulphophenyl]methylene]-N,N-diethyl-2,5-cyclohexadiene-1-iminium is produced, usable to prepare the diagnostic agent lymphotropin for colour lymphography.
