FIELD: protective coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for a protective coating, namely, water-wax protective compositions against weathering, aging, biodamage of metal products, and can be used in all industries for the preservation of equipment during storage in open areas. The composition contains ceresin, an emulsifier, a solvent and water, while as an emulsifier it contains the product of the interaction of animal fat with diethanolamine and boric acid, taken in a mass ratio of 65:21:14, and contains xylene as a solvent.
EFFECT: increasing the corrosion resistance of ferrous metal products under conditions of high humidity and temperature, as well as when exposed to salt fog.
