FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing mono- and diethanolamides of fatty acids relates to the chemical industry, namely, to methods for performing aminolysis of fats, including the stage of mixing an animal fat with mono- or diethanolamine, characterised by adding boric acid and performing aminolysis at a temperature of 180 °C for 1.5 h with the following content of animal fat, mono- or diethanolamine, and boric acid, % wt.: 65.3 to 72.4; 14.5 to 17.0; up to 100.
EFFECT: higher output of mono- and diethanolamides of fatty acids from the aminolysis of animal fats and prevented formation of sodium salts and esters of fatty acids due to the caustic soda being excluded from the process and the hydroxyl groups of mono- and diethanolamine being protected with the residual boric acid.
