FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to accumulation and storage of energy; it can be used for adjustment of power of large generating stations, demand management, and other applications for generation, networks, consumers. The method includes following stages: purification of atmospheric air, its compression with reduction in an air temperature at an output of each compression stage to a temperature close to an ambient temperature, cooling to a temperature of 100 K, separation of compressed air into gas and liquid phases; storage of a liquid fraction in a cryogenic tank; release of energy during generation.
EFFECT: simplification of a liquefaction cycle with cold recovery at a charging stage, increase in the general efficiency, increase in a volume and density of accumulated energy, increase in a cycling resource.
