AUTOMATED SYSTEM OF MULTI-BARREL MODULES ALONG THE RUNWAY TO EXTINGUISH A BURNING EMERGENCY AIRCRAFT IN MOTION AND AFTER IT STOPS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A62C3/00 A62C27/00 F42B12/36

Abstract RU 2783277 C1

FIELD: fire protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to firefighting equipment, namely to an automatic stationary fire extinguishing system with an executive part consisting of stationary executive modules, while the executive part of the fire extinguishing system is located along the entire runway and is made in the form of autonomous multi-barrel modules evenly spaced on one side of the runway or on both sides of the runway and fixed on their own section of the strip; at the same time, autonomous multi-barrel modules are shock-wave discharge spraying modules with horizontal and vertical rows of barrels and have an electrical initiation system, spray cartridges with electric capsules and sealed disposable containers are placed in the barrel channels, destroyed by a propellant wave in the barrel channels completely into fragments that do not have a damaging effect, while the containers are loaded with a fire extinguishing compound completely without air cavities; when the autonomous multi-barrel modules are located on one side of the runway, the entire width of the runway is covered by the front of the extinguishing gas-drop squall created by the discharge of all the barrels of the module; at the same time, each module is designed to be triggered when an emergency aircraft approaches the distance from which the front of the squall created by the discharge of this module covers the entire width of the runway, while the modules are located in lines at distances of no more than 100 m from each other; when the autonomous modules are located on both sides of the runway, the modules are placed on different sides opposite each other or in a staggered order along the entire runway, while the modules are designed to fire discharges, blocking the entire width of the runway with merging fronts; in this case, the system is designed to carry out a series of discharges, alternately, when the aircraft approaches.

EFFECT: invention is capable of extinguishing a burning moving aircraft and spilling fuel from it on the runway, repeatedly reducing the high probability of destruction and explosion of a burning emergency aircraft on the braking path, as well as shortening this path by a series of gas-dynamic braking by a dense front of a gas-drop extinguishing squall.
