FIELD: laser technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laser technology and can be mainly used to create compact selective resonators of optically pumped and repetitively pulsed CO2 lasers emitting in the spectral region 9…10 mcm and intended for operation in various optical systems. The invention includes a selective resonator with a radiation-absorbing medium, which is included directly in the working gas mixture of a CO2 laser. As an absorbing medium, in addition to the basic composition of the components, gaseous sulfur hexafluoride - SF6 is introduced into the working mixture of the laser in an amount necessary to fulfill the condition that the absorption coefficient of radiation in the laser active medium exceeds the gain in the spectral range of 10…11 mcm and provides the maximum possible energy yield generation in the spectral range of 9…10 mcm due to optimization of the ratio of the components of the working mixture.

EFFECT: decrease in the resonator dimensions with an increase in the generation efficiency in the selectable spectral region.
