SUBSTANCE: object 1 is a method for prevention, relief, or treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy or peripheral neuropathy induced by chemotherapy in a subject, including administration to the subject of therapeutically effective amount of a carbamate compound, which is (R)-1-(2-chlorphenyl)-2-tetrazole-2-ylethyl ester of carbamic acid, or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, or hydrate. Object 2 is the use of a carbamate compound, which is (R)-1-(2-chlorphenyl)-2-tetrazole-2-ylethyl ester of carbamic acid, or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, or hydrate for prevention, relief, or treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy or peripheral neuropathy induced by chemotherapy in a subject.
