FIELD: detonation spraying devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detonation spraying devices and methods of their application, which provide effective deposition of protective coatings on the surface of products. The device for detonation spraying of coatings on the surface of workpieces includes a barrel with a gas distributor and an ignition means and at least one dispenser for powder supply, and the barrel contains a breech section and a muzzle section made in the form of an axisymmetric channel, while the muzzle section has an outlet and is made in such a way in a manner that includes a section expanding in the direction of movement of the sprayed powder.
EFFECT: invention is directed to the formation of a dense coating on the surface of the workpiece with low porosity and without residual tensile stresses with a moderate level of compressive stresses by increasing the velocity of the sprayed particles.
